Pottery Barn Folsom Coffee Table Dupe – You are here: Home / DIY Furniture Projects / How to Build a Modern Coffee Table-Pottery Shed
As always, when looking to build a modern coffee table, I scoured Pinterest for the perfect fit. Usually when I don’t see anything there, I look to my favorite furniture stores for ideas. My go-tos are Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel, McGee & Co, Arhaus, West Elm….just to name a few. When the Folsom Wood coffee table showed up at Pottery Barn, I knew it! I like the softness of this part. This is such a solid, modern coffee table with clean lines and the finish is perfect!

Note: this picture shows the frame from its side. Don’t forget to turn it over once to make it sit upright before starting the next step (“Wrap the Frame”)
Your coffee table frame should now be in an upright position and should look like this. (See image below). Cut plywood to fit each section and attach with 1 1/2″ wood screws. I found it easy to attach in the following order:
Using a hot iron, attach edging tape to all exposed edges of the plywood. It’s a very simple process. Simply cut and iron the edge tape to adjust. Press it down for a tighter hold…use a block of wood and slide it up and down the ironed hem strip.
