It is offered in a variety of sizes suitable for coffee tables, benches, dining tables or anything else you can imagine. This listing is for hourglass legs made from 2″ square tubing, but we do offer these legs in 3″ square tubing for larger tables. • 1/4″ x 4″ top mount flat bar comes equipped with pre-drilled holes to fit 1/4″ size 8 or 10 wood screws
1) Choose Leg Height – Standard dining table height is about 30″ total height (wood top + metal legs). If your table top is 1.5″-3″ thick, a 28″ base will work just fine. If you are looking for a slightly shorter or taller leg, send us a message and we will be happy to adjust the size.
We also offer our coffee table/bench legs at 16.5″. Again, if you need your coffee table or bench a little shorter or taller, please let us know.

2) Choose the width of the legs – we usually suggest that your wood roof overhangs the legs by about 3-5″ per side for a total of 6-10″ total overhang. For example, if your top is 38″ wide, choose a leg width between 28-32″. If you need a wider or narrower leg than the one offered in the list, contact us!
3) Choose your finish – We offer our legs in matte black powder coat, clear finish or raw steel finish.
Powder coating your legs will not only give you color, but will also protect your legs from rusting over time. Our most popular color is matte black so this is our color option. However, we offer other colors for an additional fee, so if you have something else in mind, please feel free to send us a custom request.

Our clear top coat gives a more rustic, industrial look and shows all the details (including sanding marks and imperfections) of the raw metal. We suggest this option if you want the look of raw steel but want to protect your legs from rust.
If you’d rather paint the legs yourself or leave them completely raw, choose our raw steel option. Raw steel does not have any protective coating, so it will rust over time. If you choose the raw steel option, we recommend finishing the legs at home with a 2-in-1 paint and metal primer such as Rust-Oleum or Rust-Oleum Clear Coat. For a more eco-friendly option, you can prevent rusting by applying a light layer of beeswax to the legs.

All our legs are handmade just for you! Since our legs are made without any automated machining, small deviations in height and width of up to 1/8″ can be expected.

Hairpin Leg Coffee Table
I used our 150+ year old porch hickory wood to make this beautiful harvest table! I absolutely love this piece. It seats 10, but we still need 6 chairs, huh. A young couple did an amazing job making the legs for the table and bench. My only constructive feedback is about the smaller bench legs where the pilot holes match the size of the table legs. I had to use a bit to enlarge the holes so I could line up the screws with countersunk fasteners which are sturdier, more suitable for furniture and certainly better than regular wood screws, which I suspect the original pilot holes were designed for. The bench is 84 inches long and 45 lbs. ordinary wood screws would not suffice! Otherwise, I highly recommend these people! Cheers
