You can raise part of the table so that you can keep your coffee/diner/laptop at the perfect height while sitting on your sofa. And you can store things inside the table. It is easy to pull up the elevation part and soft close. Downside: first time my partner built it (it took about 1.5 hours for him). He noted that the interior was a bit difficult to build, especially to align the metal bar. Then there was an issue with one of the table tops being about 2mm higher on the right side. customer service was great and sent a new table and got the old one. My poor partner had to set up the 2nd table. Had the same problem, height is uneven on one side – it seems very obviously some kind of flaw. Followed the instructions to T. I wanted to return the 2nd table for a full refund, but my partner decided to straighten it out so he bent the table top end slightly but firmly and that worked – it was even! I have the black/brown one and fingerprints are very easy to see. And considering that you have to manually lift the tabletop – your fingerprints will show up immediately – it’s kind of annoying. I have a microfiber cloth nearby that I wiped the table with. I don’t know if it does the same in the white version. If I had small kids I’m not sure I would buy it because it would bother me to always have to wipe it off of those cute little handprints (even if it’s a quick thing) Besides the build issue and the fact that it shows fingerprints, I love it. Gorgeous and elevated table top is great to have while drinking my tea in front of the TV. I would recommend it though, taking 1 star for the troubles with flattening (it’s obviously some kind of design flaw since it’s on both of my desks) and the fact that it shows fingerprints, especially since you have to use your hands. remove the table4

But the pull-up part is perfect for eating out dinner or on a laptop, etc. It is the perfect height for writing. It’s very cumbersome to put together (mainly the hinges), so you’ll need a hand screwdriver, not a big electrical thing like my dude’s, but once done, it’s well worth it. Get more for your money, get it at this price because I think it’s cheap for what you get.5

Undesigned WellAmarInstructions was wrong as they mixed L and R in the pictures. Then once assembled the movable top is not flush with the fixed top. There is a difference of about 2 mm when the movable top does not fit well. If you apply weight it will go down but stick by about 2mm on its own. It is disappointing as the rest of the table is well done. They mis-engineered the lifting and lowering mechanism3
