You can raise one part of the table to get your coffee/food/laptop at a higher level while sitting on your sofa. And you can store things in the table. It is easy to remove the lifting part and close easily. Bad: the first time my partner got married (it took him about 1.5 hours). He said that it is a simple table to build, especially in front of the metal line. Then there was a problem with one tablet that was 2mm higher on the right side. customer service was great and sent a new desk to pick up the old one. My poor friend had to build a 2nd table. It had one problem, it was uneven in length on one side – obviously it looks like a defect. Followed the instructions to a T. I wanted to send the 2nd table for a refund, but my partner decided to try to fix it so he flipped the table over – gently but firmly and strategically – it was even! I have the black/black one and the thumb shows up easily. Considering you have to lift the table up with your fingers – your thumb will show right away – it’s a bit annoying. We have a microfiber cloth around the table and wipe it down. Not sure if it works the same for the white version. I’m not sure if I’ll buy it if I have little kids because it would bother me to have to clean it all the time from the cute little fingers (although it’s a quick thing to do) Other than the hassle of building it and the fact that it shows thumbs up, I love it. It’s nice and the raised table is amazing to see when I have tea in front of the TV. I still recommend it, I’m deducting 1 star for the fact that it looked good (obviously there’s some kind of built-in error since it happened to both of my tables) and for pointing fingers especially since you have to use your hands to lift the table.4

Not Well Done WellAmar’s description was wrong because they got L and R mixed up in the picture. Now when you assemble the moving top it doesn’t slide together with the fixed top. there is a 2mm difference where the moving top just doesn’t sit properly. If you put a weight it will go down but on its stem above 2mm. Disappointing as the rest of the table was well done. They found an engineering method to improve and reduce errors3
