It is in good original condition and I date it to about 1910-20. This table has some wonderful features. It has two drawers, back and front, two brush sliders at either end with tooled leather inlays and turned tapered legs are fluted in the center. This beautiful coffee table has a lot of character. The gilded gallery does show a bit of natural aging on the surface, but I wouldn’t want to clean it because it would spoil the original look. You can see the original reddish undercoat showing in places under the paint, which is decorated with gilded elements. It looks very old, but it’s hard to put an exact date because I don’t have a lot of painted antique furniture. It looks like it is over 100 years old. The marble top, which just sits loosely on top, is beautifully patterned and complements the base. Not sure if it’s an original piece, but that’s how I got this table in a parts swap.
